The Painted Lady...Well....not really

Today was the last day of seeing and learning from Mrs. Woodard. She is such an amazing teacher. I got a little over my five hours today, I guess I got carried away. She said my Makeup skills have flourished very well. I have to keep practicing though, I don't want to lose what she has taught me. I have experienced so many good things under her wing. Any ways. I need to go practice mor makeup for bout an hour then shower. I think I have done well this evening. Mrs. Woodard said, that I blended very well. I alos did makeup for Mr. Beane's class, and did some last night on my siblings. Also i think I amm best at Bruises, and old age, but I got to go practice. See Ya.

Bruises, and Burns, and Scars Oh My!

SO friday afternoon, i spent the better half of my evening, under the wing of my mentor, Mrs. Woodard. She taught me makeup techniques on how to do things like scars, and bruises with nothing but makeup. Then afterward, we played with liquid latex. Using Toilet paper, Liquid Latex, and makeup we made a gruesome burn on the side of my face. After the burn we made a latex scar. With a little stage blood we made it look a little more fresh. After i finished there I went to my gram's house and stayed until saturday, then went home. i practiced techniques for a couple hours before going to bed.

Oh yesyes.

Sorry. one more thing. I am going this friday to see Mrs.Woodard again, and we are going to work on scars, bruises, etc. I am SO excited.

Library Of Beauty

I just got back from the library. I got bookoos of books on makeup. I had NO IDEA that our library was just for make up...O.o Just kidding there is other stuff too.

Goldie Oldie.

Yesterday I had another meeting with my mentor. I hung out with her class till we got to work, because South Caldwell's Parking lot gets major crowded. Anyways after her meet with her students we went into the dressing room and started working on old age makeup. The first thing that we did was to apply dark shadow color to the wrinkles I already had. Then we blended them into the face, upward. After that we put highlighting color on and blended that the opposite way. I learned that when doing this it has a pattern. You have your blended dark, and blended light line. so you put the two harsh lines together, and then blend away from each other. The jawl line is lines you put on your jaw line and you but the dark on the bottom instead, and blend down, then blend the light one up. After that Mrs. Woodard made me make faces in the mirror to find creases in my forehead, and other lines and wrinkles that we could bring out. She says "it is best to use what you already have," then we took a few pictures and i went home. I was too excited to let the fun stop, so after dinner at my mom's house....I used my younger siblings as guinea pigs.
